
The Central Valley in California is known for its agriculture, but those who travel USA California often overlook it as a tourism destination. A new tour of Fresno County for tourism and media professionals is designed to change that by putting Central Valley foods and wines on the map.
The three-day "California's Farmer's Market" tour is sponsored by the California Travel and Tourism Commission (CTTC). It starts out in San Francisco and goes through the hear of the state's popular wine regions. Day 2 is the Fresno County portion of the trip, which begins at Bari Olive Oil Company in Dinuba and berry packager Berry Lady Farms in Kingsburg, followed by lunch at Simonian Farms in Fresno. The tour also includes stops at Circle K Ranch in Fowler, Summer Peck Fruit Stand in Friant and a tour of Old Town Clovis' Farmer's Market.
